Solving for an A with Danny: Algebra or Calculus Support

About Danny

Hi! I’m Daniel, a current aerospace engineering student at MIT. I graduated 3rd in my class in high school and was recognized as the top student in the mathematics department. I have been tutoring for math for various years and scored a 1560 on the SAT. Additionally, I’m fully fluent in Spanish. I’m excited to work with you and your child on building their math proficiency!

Classes

I will offer 2 packages this year: Algebra (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, or Algebra II) for middle or high-schooler(s) and Calculus (Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1/AB, or Calculus 2/BC) for high-schooler(s)

-Each Package includes a complimentary meeting with parents to define objectives for the tutoring sessions and to create tailored lesson plans for the student(s). A personalized curriculum and schedule will be coordinated to ensure that each student is adequately prepared before every assessment (or competition, if applicable).

-Classes will consist of exam preparation, homework review, and practice exercises, with periodic progress assessments and parent reports to track the student’s improvement. Additionally, students will learn studying, memorization, and exam strategies to succeed academically beyond this package.

-Classes are provided online using Zoom, Facetime, or Google Meet. An IPad on the latest software update is recommended for most-efficient interactions.

-Days and times are to be coordinated with the teacher. Efforts will be made to center the schedule around their school lesson plans and exams. However, a minimum of 1 to 2 classes needs to be taken each week in order to maximize results and ensure that the full package is taken within the defined time frame.

-For math classes with two or three students, all of them need to be in the same class and school to ensure that classes are tailored to their lesson plans for exam preparation and studying (see benefits of adding a student).

Waiver

The teacher does not make any guarantee of any future results, rewards, success, or achievements as part of the tutoring package.

It is important to note that the effectiveness of the tutoring sessions depends greatly on the effort, dedication, and commitment of the student. While the teacher will provide comprehensive instruction, practice, and support, the ultimate outcome of the tutoring sessions will be influenced by the student’s individual effort and engagement in the learning process. The tutoring package is designed to provide students with the necessary tools, resources, and guidance to improve their skills and knowledge in the targeted areas. However, the success of the tutoring sessions relies on the student’s active participation, practice, and willingness to learn. It is important for the student to come prepared for each session, complete assigned tasks, practice outside of the tutoring sessions, and actively engage in the learning activities provided by the teacher.
