About Anya
Hi! I’m Anya, a Stanford Computer Science student with six years of experience tutoring students in SAT/ACT prep, AP classes, college essays, and enrichment courses like public speaking and coding. Since my freshman year, I’ve been working as a Teaching Assistant for Stanford’s main Data Science course and a writing tutor for undergraduates, supporting over 100 students per quarter.
In high school, I graduated in the Top 2% of my class, earned a perfect 36 ACT score, and received National Merit recognition and a full scholarship to Vanderbilt University, along with being a finalist for the Robertson Scholarship at Duke.
After founding a news literacy organization that raised over $20k with membership in 26 countries, I was honored as a Coca-Cola Scholar (top 0.1% of 103,000 applicants) for leadership, service, and academic achievement. I also earned recognition as a Coolidge Senator (top 2% of nationwide applicants to a full merit-based college scholarship) and a RISE Global Finalist (top 0.1% in a Talent Search run by Schmidt Futures and the Rhodes Trust).
I’ve helped high school students bring up their grades, improve standardized test scores, earn 5s on AP exams across STEM and humanities, craft college essays that led to acceptances at top-tier universities, and build confidence in public speaking, writing, and coding.
With UKE, I’m committed to creating a space where learning feels exciting and progress feels possible. I can’t wait to support your child’s growth and help them reach their goals.
Classes
Each Package includes a complimentary introductory meeting with parents and/or students to understand the student’s interests and prior experience and to create personalized lesson plans that will fully challenge and excite the student(s).
Classes are provided online using Zoom or Google Meet. A computer with reliable Internet connection, preferably one that is able to download software, is required for this course. Students do not need extensive prior programming experience, but they must have basic computer skills and be able to type efficiently.
Days and times are to be coordinated with the teacher. However, a minimum of 1 to 2 classes needs to be taken each week in order to maximize results and ensure that the full package is taken within the defined time frame.
Waiver
The teacher does not make any guarantee of any future results, rewards, success, or achievements as part of the tutoring package.
It is important to note that the effectiveness of the tutoring sessions depends greatly on the effort, dedication, and commitment of the student. While the teacher will provide comprehensive instruction, practice, and support, the ultimate outcome of the tutoring sessions will be influenced by the student’s individual effort and engagement in the learning process. The tutoring package is designed to provide students with the necessary tools, resources, and guidance to improve their skills and knowledge in the targeted areas. However, the success of the tutoring sessions relies on the student’s active participation, practice, and willingness to learn. It is important for the student to come prepared for each session, complete assigned tasks, practice outside of the tutoring sessions, and actively engage in the learning activities provided by the teacher.
