Hello! I’m Luke, and I am an incoming freshman at Columbia studying economics, finance, and entrepreneurship. I attended one of the most prestigious high schools in the nation and graduated in the top 2% of the class. I was the President of the #1 math competition team in the nation and have won multiple awards at the state and national level. I earned a perfect score of 1600 on the SAT, and have been recognized as a National Merit Scholar, Coca Cola Scholar (top 150 out of 91,000), and US Presidential Scholar Semifinalist (top 628 out of 3.6 million) based on my recent academic achievements.

I have been also recognized as a US Presidential Scholar Semifinalist and National Merit Scholar for my academic and extracurricular achievements. Having lived in China when I was younger, I am fluent in Chinese and have taught it to kids of various age groups every weekend for several years at my local Chinese school. At school, I also took Chinese as my language course requirement, concluding with the highest score of 5 on the AP Chinese Exam. Through this immersion program, I would love to introduce the language and culture to you!

Hi! My name is Kayana and I’m an incoming freshman at MIT looking to major in Mechanical Engineering. I graduated at the top of my class at one of the best private high schools in the country, completing the pre-engineering course and competing on the robotics team.
Throughout high school, my passion for engineering heightened as I explored fundamental engineering principles like electronics, the design process, and computer aided design (CAD).
My package will reflect and spread my excitement towards engineering through the breakdown of CAD. In the past I’ve taught students CAD through workshops open to my entire school and robotics summer camps. I am a recently-graduated 18 year old student who will be attending MIT to study computer science and entrepreneurship next fall. I completed and graduated a computer science pre-professional program at one of the most highly-ranked private high schools in the nation, earning distinction as one of the top ten students of my graduating class and as the most outstanding student in the computer science program. In addition, I have completed dozens of Artificial Intelligence-related projects, including an AI internship with ALTEN (ranked 3rd globally in engineering service providers) and other projects in the domains of natural language processing, robotics, computer vision, finance, and business analytics.
